Jeff Kirsch
Jeff Kirsch was born, the oldest of eight children, in 1950 and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York. At three years old he had a near death experience which deepened his spiritual nature. Throughout life his Irish humor has kept the "boyish charm" a predominate feature of his personality. At seventeen Jeff studied Chemical Engineering in Brooklyn and by twenty one years was living in Boulder, Colorado studying Geology, Business and Constitutional Law at CU.

In 1989 Jeff married Vicki in a ceremony with his uncle, Father Bob Kirsch, a Jesuit priest, officiating and the choral and harp music provided by Vicki's fourth grade class at Shining Mountain Waldorf School. By 1993 they had two sons, Padraic and Jaimen.

Jeff has a heartfelt connection to the mountains and forests of the west. He built a passive solar home west of Boulder and has been involved in many alternative energy projects. Jeff is most creatively engaged when cooking. Star Garden parents have enjoyed many dishes of his nouvelle cuisine which he approaches as both an art and science. They have been known to lick their lips and rub their tummies after eating.

Mr. Jeff, to the children, has been an integral part of developing Star Garden. As well as cooking, he has done carpentry, advertisement, technical and moral support. His active role in parenting has given Jeff a strong belief and connection to Rudolf Steiner and Waldorf Education. As always, his interests are far ranging, from biodynamics to the Mystery Dramas. He is currently working on the family property near Sapello, New Mexico where they plan to build an agritourismo and Waldorf family retreat, Estrella de Jardin del Santuario.
